We hope you can join us in celebrating and uplifting women in our community!

We’re excited to invite you to join WV FREE and the West Virginia Women’s Alliance for an International Women’s Day Celebration on March 8th from 3:00–6:00 PM at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston!

This event will center social justice and women’s equity, bringing together local organizations, advocates, and women-owned businesses for an afternoon of community connection, empowerment and fun! We’ll have booth spaces available for organizations to share resources, engage attendees, and highlight the important work our community and partner organizations are doing for gender justice, reproductive rights, racial and economic justice, children’s well-being and family health and security.

This will be a family-friendly celebration, and we’re planning activities for all ages — including a DJ, face painting, and inflatables — to create an inclusive and welcoming space for the entire community.

While this is a c3 non-partisan event, we will be celebrating the women who are running for office in West Virginia! Candidates who support women’s rights are most welcome to join us and even register for a booth.
