Public Hearing on HB 4012: Medicaid ban on abortion care

Shady things are happening at the “bad ideas factory”! About a week ago, we requested a public hearing on HB 4012…and Chairman Shott waited until today to schedule it. What does that mean? The public hearing on HB 4012 will take place Monday morning, on West Virginians for Life’s lobby day!!! We need to turn out in unprecedented numbers.
Help us pack the House chamber Monday! We know it’s hard to come to come to the Capitol on a work day, but if you’re able, we need you now more than ever. West Virginias for Life’s members will be swarming the Capitol, and we can’t let their voice outweigh ours!
Please try to show up NO LATER than 8:15 am so you can get signed up to speak. We will have sample language if you need it.
And if you’re able, stick around for a pop-up action at noon!
Let’s send a strong message to WV legislators that we want them to focus on the budget, improving access to health care and quality education; not targeting some of the most vulnerable West Virginians.
